My school where I studied from 1982 – 1995

One of the most beautiful of schools and surely the most prestigious public school in the beautiful, Himalayan state of Sikkim, Tashi Namgyal Academy (TNA) boasts a past & present rich with achievements in the Academic as well as extra-curricular fields.

The school has a large campus adorned with pine and eucalyptus trees. The month of December sees the whole of campus turning pink with beautiful cherry blossoms filling the whole area. The above photo is a picture taken from the Girls’ Hostel (not by me). Towards the left is the block housing the main school office. The road, starting from the School Main Gate, leads to the other major blocks and the football fields. On one wall of the main block are written the words, “Enter for Wisdom, and learn to Serve”. `Learn to Serve‘ is the school motto.

This page is a sincere attempt to express my sense of gratitude and belonging towards the school where I spent thirteen years of my life, for having made me the person I am today and giving me much more than words can express.
