New England Archivists Spring Conference

The NEA Spring Meeting/40th Anniversary Meeting is quickly approaching! It’s March 21-23, 2013 at the College of the Holy Cross in Worcester, MA. Some of our very own Simmons GSLIS students and professors are presenting this year, guaranteeing an intellectually stimulating conference.

If you haven’t registered yet, there’s still time! The schedule of events, hotel information, and registration information can be found here.

Please consider sharing a ride with your fellow students. This is a great way to pass the time and split the cost of gas. Use our Wiki to organize ride shares, synchronize MBTA Commuter Rail travel times, and/or find hotel roommates. Volunteer & Publication Opportunity: NEA Session Reporter

The NEA Program Committee and Newsletter are looking for Session Reporters for the Spring Meeting being held March 21-23, 2013 in Worcester, MA and have asked students for help. Writing a session report is a great way to add a publication to your resume!

Session reporters will write up a short summary of a session for publication in the NEA Newsletter. Reports for regular sessions should run between 300 and 500 words, while reports for discussion sessions should be between 150 and 200 words. If you have any questions about the requirements and guidelines for session reports, please visit the NEA website: http://newenglandarchivists.org/newsletter/submission_information.html

Once you have registered for the meeting, take a look at the program and choose which session you want to report on. Send an email to Rosalie Gartner at [email protected] with your name and contact information, along with the session name and date no later than Tuesday, March 12, 2013.
