SoCS Mixer

6:30pm, The Pudding Stone Tavern

Join SoCS for their first mixer of the Spring 2017 semester. Meet the officers, learn about some of our events, and enjoy appetizers at the Pudding Stone Tavern, on us! http://www.thepuddingstonetavern.com/

All SLIS students are welcome to this event. Can’t make it on this day? Join us for any of our upcoming mixers on: 

  • February 14th– PALentine mixer from 6:30pm-9pm 
  • March 16th– St.Patrick’s Day Eve Mixer 6:30pm-9pm 
  • April- Professionals of Color Mixer (exact day and time pending) More details coming!

Monday, January 30th:

PLG Genereeting:
6:30-7:30pm, Faculty Dining Room, Simmons College

Join PLG for their first meeting of the semester to learn about dates for our events, including Prison Book Program, Anti-Racism training and more!

Come hungry, there will be food!

Tuesday, January 31st:

LISSA Welcome Back Breakfast:
10:00am-12:00pm, SLIS Student Lounge

Come join us in the Student Lounge on Tuesday, Feb. 2 from 10:30 to 12:30 to celebrate the start of Spring Semester and to welcome SLISnewcomers! Free coffee, bagels, and conversation shall be had! We hope to see you there!

AMIA’s Open-Hangout & A/V Petting Zoo
1:00-3:00pm, SLIS Student Lounge

Students are invited to hang out with AMIA for our first Open Hangout of the semester. We’ll be talking about Audio Video and Moving Image Archives. Don’t know what those are, but want to know more about preservation? Great! Are you a film fanatic? Also great! Take the opportunity to interact with our media and A/V Petting Zoo while you’re with us. We’ll be also taking about our upcoming events for the semester. Hope to see you there, and with all good events there will be snacks.

Wednesday, February 1st:

SLA Welcome Back Event:
5:30-6:30pm, SLIS Student Lounge

Join us in the SLIS Lounge February 1st for our first meeting of the semester! Come and enjoy some snacks while we welcome new students, introduce new officers, share the events we have planned for the semester, and get to know one another. We hope to see you there!
