- *SLA-NE Annual Day on the Job Program
Deadline for Signup – February 24, 2016
SLA NE’s annual “Day on the Job” (DOTJ) enables students to meet with practicing professionals, to learn more about their jobs, work environments, and career history and objectives. The date and time can be whenever the student and host find to be mutually convenient. The format is also flexible, ranging from a day-long job “shadowing”, to a series of interviews, to a library tour, to a conversation over a cup of coffee.
To sign up for DOTJ, please complete the following survey by Wednesday, February, 24, 2016.
Wendy Austin, SLA NE Student Relations Chair, will be matching students with professional hosts. You should expect an email from Wendy with your match in the first week of March. It is the responsibility of the student to email their host arranging a date/time to visit. If you are no longer able to participate in DOTJ, please still email your host. Some professionals volunteer to host multiple students. You may receive an email matching you and several other students with the same professional. Please note you do not need to coordinate your visit with the other students. DOTJ is an individual experience.
