Tuesday, September 20th
4:00 – 6:00 pm
School of Management, Room M104
Simmons ASIS&T is organizing a Library Science Fair at Simmons College, featuring talks by Ben Florin, a web developer at Boston College Libraries (a GSLIS alum and former staff member) and by Mark Tomko, a current GSLIS student and a software engineer at the Broad Institute.
In addition, we invite attendees to participate in lightning talks. ?Lightning talks should be:
- An opportunity for you to share an LIS or technology-related project you?re working on or something else that interests you
- About 5 minutes long
- Informal. No script or slides necessary – chalk talks are encouraged (but feel free to use notes if needed)
Lightning talks are a great way to find out about new technologies or trends in the field, and to find out who might share your interests. ?You can sign up here to give a lightning talk, or at the event.
Refreshments will be served!
Afterwards, we?d like to invite you to join us at the Squealing Pig (http://g.co/maps/7v5nn) for food and drinks.
