Jobline

The Jobline is a service of the School of Library and Information Science (SLIS) at Simmons College and is your source for professional, pre-professional, internship, and volunteer positions. It is a large database of job/internship postings that are sent directly to Simmons for consideration by LIS students. It lists local, state, national, and international opportunities.

If you are a SLIS Alum and would like to be kept in the know about recent job and internship postings, you can easily sign up for the weekly emails that are sent out by Jobline. You just need to send your full name and email address to [email protected].

When receiving emails from Jobline, opportunities are broken out as follows: Professional Job Postings in New England; Professional Jobs Outside of New England; Archive Positions; Pre-professional Positions; Opportunities for Current Students; Professional Development, and Call for Submissions.

Career Education Center

The Career Education Center (CEC) is located on the Boston Campus (300 The Fenway) in the School of Management/Academic Building. They are on the first (ground) floor in Suite M107-M112.

The CEC helps students with all aspects of career planning and job search strategy. They assist undergraduates, graduate students, and alumnae/i in developing the skills and knowledge they need to make informed decisions about their career choices.

When visiting the CEC’s website, you will discover the valuable career planning and resources that the CEC has to offer for undergraduates, graduate students, and alumnae/i such as: career coaching, career workshops and programs, career resources (print and online collections offered by the Beatley Library, CEC site’s resources and stools which include the CEC job banks, CareerLink, career toolkits, and CA$H), career fairs and employer recruiting events, and alumnae/i connections.
