Simmons ASIS&T may have been silent on here lately… but we’ve not been dormant. We’ve been planning a number of awesome shenanigans. After our Valentine’s Day-themed event, Love Bytes, was a success, we got right to planning the rest of our events for this semester, which we hope will include library laser tag, video game night, and our own panel for DERAIL. But just in case you missed it, here is a recap.

Our event took place in the Earl Center’s Wheelock College makers’ space. We made light up Valentines and chocolate Valentine books (with librarian puns, of course!), discussed maker’s spaces with each other and current Simmons PhD students, and played with some other tech including Scratch. Attendees walked away with some cool crafts. full bellies, and a better knowledge of the makers movement.
