Upcoming SLA NE Event

BPLseminar

What can you do with an MLS degree in the realm of emerging careers? On Tuesday, October 29, a research team from Analysis Group will speak about applying library skills in their work at a Boston economic consulting firm. The New England Chapter of the Special Libraries Association presents this panel discussion as part of their Career Profiles series.

The moderated conversation will focus on team members’ career paths, how they use their library skills outside the traditional library setting and how they strive to remain relevant in both a growing company and an evolving market.

Ample time will be provided for a question and answer period. A social opportunity will take place afterward, for those interested. Speakers to include: Victoria Hopcroft, John Aubrey, Rosemary Zankiw, Catherine Boothby, and Mary Liz Brenninkmeyer. Moderator: Devon McArdle, President of SLA New England. In accordance with the Boston Public Library policy, this event is free and open to the public.

Attendees are advised to enter at 700 Boylston Street and take the stairs or elevator down one floor to the Concourse level. The conference rooms will be on the right.

Hope to see you there!
