Most webinars and basic introductions to taxonomies and controlled vocabularies focus specifically on the creation or manipulation of the content of the taxonomy or controlled vocabulary, but how does that information get used by systems? Tagging is a word that gets thrown around, but the intricacies of how objects are tagged with terms can be just as important as the creation of the taxonomy itself.
