MIT Media Lab Tour – 4/17

NEASIST is offering an exclusive tour of the MIT Media Lab!
When: Tuesday, April 17 at 3:30pm.   The tour should be about an hour.
Where: MIT Media Lab.  (Google Map).  Meet us at the entrance at the corner of Amherst and Ames streets.
Audience:  Registered ASIST members (check your membership here) and Simmons students

Description: The MIT Media Lab is an interdisciplinary research lab that encourages the unconventional mixing and matching of seemingly disparate research areas with a common theme of looking at who people and society experience and interact with technology.  They actually don’t offer tours of the research areas to the general public, so we encourage you to take advantage of this opportunity.   William Powers, a research scientist at MIT Media Lab’s Laboratory for Social Machines, will be leading the tour.   After the tour, join us for the post-event coffee and pastries at Area Four at 500 Technology Square to chat and network.

If you’re interested in attending, please RSVP by Wednesday, April 11th  with your name and affiliation to [email protected]Otherwise, you cannot be admitted into the lab.

If you have any questions, please contact Saffana Anwar ([email protected]).
