This workshop will cover the basics of the statistical and graphic computing environment that is R as well as some intermediate applications. They will cover a brief history of R, how R can be used by LIS professionals and the LIS community, basic visualization tools and techniques, tools and resources for teaching yourself R, and additional packages that you may find useful.
Feel free to bring your own computer. However, if you are planning on doing this, know that you will need to download both R and R studio on your laptop (these are both applications that are available on the P-213 Tech Lab computers).
