Open Access Tracking Project Tagathon – 2/21

Brought to you by Simmons College Student Chapter of ASIS&T
Wednesday, February 21, 2018 fromĀ 4 – 6pm
SLIS Tech Lab, P-213

Join us for a hands-on event to support open access (OA).

The Open Access Tracking Project (OATP) is part of the Harvard OA Project. It uses social tagging to capture new developments on OA. The OATP mission is:

  1. to provide a real-time alert service for OA-related news and comment, and
  2. to organize knowledge of the field by tag or subtopic.

If you visit the OATP website, you will get a quick overview of what the OATP is all about and you can begin contributing by tagging articles.

No experience necessary. Refreshments provided.

The event will be recorded. Online students will be able to join via GoToMeeting.

If you plan to attend this event, there a two very quick, but time-sensitive items that we recommend you do beforehand:

  1. Create an account.
  2. Get permission to tag for OATP.

Please email [email protected] with any questions!
