Banned Books Week – Lunch Time Read Aloud

Brought to you by Beatley Library and LISSA (Library and Information Science Student Association)

Beatley Library and SLIS are hosting lunchtime readings from Monday 9/25- Friday 9/29 from 12pm-2pm. These readings will take place in the Lefavour Lobby. They are inviting anyone who would like to participate to read for 1- 5 minutes from their favorite banned or challenged book. These readings will be recorded and posted to the Simmons YouTube page. Online community members are also invited to participate by recording themselves reading from their favorite book, and sharing it with us online by using the hashtag #SimmonsGetCaught2017.

How to participate:
-Use this Google Sheet to sign up in advance for a specific day and time to read.
-Show up to see what all of the fuss is about, browse the books, and do a cold read.
-Check out your favorite book and record yourself reading from the comfort of your own home, office, or podium.
