Save the date, Saturday, April 16, 2016, for a special event to cap off National Library Week.
The Archives and Library Leadership Network (ALLN) and Borough of Manhattan Community College (BMCC) are sponsoring an LIS Career Day so students, new grads and job seekers can meet a variety of local professionals.
BMCC will host from 1 to 4 pm and invitations have been sent to:
- hiring managers at area public and school library systems,
- local internship managers,
- major vendor representatives, and
- reps from a dozen local professional organizations.
Plans are also underway for two career focused panels and a networking reception to follow. Refreshments will be provided and registration details should be available next week.
