While we've been busy getting ready for our Resume X event (Tonight! Wednesday, March 18th 6-8pm, Faculty and Staff Lounge, Simmons College), there are some important deadlines for conference-related grants that shouldn't be overlooked!
The deadline to apply to volunteer at the SLA conference in Boston this June is next Friday March 27th! By working one full day at the Registration Desk on either Saturday, June 13, or Sunday, June 14, students receive free conference registration in return. If you are already living in Boston this could be a chance to attend the conference entirely for free; Those travelling for the conference can save money for eating lobstah.
Members of the legal or education division have until this Friday March 20th to apply for travel stipends.
New student members, particularly those interested in science and technology, are eligible and encouraged to apply for a travel stipend supported by the SPIE Digital Library. Please note that the deadline has been extended to Tuesday March 31st!
