Professor Tang’s Usability and User Experience (LIS 531Y) class has been conducting their own usability studies this semester, working in 3 groups of 3-4 people. The following sites participated in these class projects: EBSCO, Harvard IQSS Data Science, and Northeastern University. The students spent this past semester learning the principles and practice of conducting usability research from the ground up. Each group designed their own usability plan, carried out testing, and analyzed the results. These groups now had the opportunity to present their semester’s work to the rest of the class and all of the site supervisors in attendance. Sponsoring this event allowed UXPA to showcase the incredible work done by the usability class this semester.
