Life After Simmons

The United States entered World War II one year after Louise graduated from Simmons. She served the home front as part of the Cadet Nurse Corps, and entered the Yale School of Nursing in 1945.

Louise lived up to her "quietest" superlative in her adult life. Never marrying or having children, she lived in Dedham, Massachusetts until her death in 2012. She was active in her community as a Friend of the Dedham Historical Society, and remained steadfastly involved with her Simmons College class, attending reunions through her 45th in 1985.
