The panelists begin their discussion with a general inquisition of what information literacy is within their work as well as a general definition that faces students today in a growing social media climate. As the discussion continued, each panelist shared personal experiences and the difficulties of accurate information spread in a space where sources are not necessarily reliable or without bias. Throughout each question, each panelist was able to shed light on how misinformation, disinformation, and AI have impacted how the next generation of students are educated within the context of SLIS. This discussion touched upon the impacts not only in the U.S., but the global impacts technology has created and how to incorporate understanding and use into our lives in terms of technology.
