Site Description
The Massachusetts Archives is the state repository for all permanent public records created in the course of Commonwealth of Massachusetts governance. We have over 500 years worth of records ranging from colonial times to modern day. The Archives works to ensure the preservation and accessibility of government records, and helps protect the Commonwealth’s historic heritage for its citizens, students, and scholars.
The facility is located at Columbia Point and is accessible via the red line. There is also free parking on site. The building is ADA compliant. We are open M-F 8:30am to 4:30pm.
