Project Details
The purpose of this project will be to assist with tasks related to the establishment of an institutional archive for the Emily Dickinson Museum. The following are examples of tasks the intern will be asked to perform:
• Evaluate materials to identify suitable items of long-term historical value to be included in a newly-established institutional archive for the Emily Dickinson Museum
• Sort, appraise, and rehouse materials according to archival standards to ensure long-term preservation
• Assist with the arrangement and description of institutional archive materials
• Aid in cataloguing and digitization of materials to ensure records are searchable and accessible
• Help with the creation of a finding aid for the institutional archive
