Project Details
21 partially filled containers (15 clam shell boxes, 6 record storage containers, and 3 large record storage containers). The collection is primarily a mixture of volumes and loose sheets of textual records.

During the internship, the student will learn to process the collection based upon standards developed by the National Archives and Records Administration. The collection will be processed to the folder and/or volume level using a mixture of traditional and minimal archival processing techniques. The student will note condition issues, and when practical, they will take steps to preserve documents. For instance, the student will replace archival folders when necessary, and rusty or damaged staples removed. The student will create a folder level inventory to the collection in Microsoft Access, which will be used to create a DACS compliant finding aid in ArchivesSpace.
