Arrange and describe the research papers and manuscript collections of MacEdward Leach (1892-1967), a Medievalist turned folklorist, who founded the University of Pennsylvania's Department of Folklore and Folklife (the Penn Folklore Archives became part of the Museum Archives in 2011). Leach worked in the Caribbean and in Appalachia. His sound recordings on reel-to-reel tapes have already been digitized.
