Project Details
The Holocaust Museum & Cohen Education Center is happy to host students interest in Archival and Library Science. Working at the Museum provides an opportunity for students to work in a museum setting, and see how archival skills translate into non-archival repositories. Curator Cody Rademacher will work with the student, selecting a collection that focuses on materials either of archival or photographic nature. They will work to establish guidelines on what is expected when the student evaluates and describes the collection. The Curator will frame the project and work to use terms and principles that students will become familiar with during their coursework. While the Curator will be available for questions, review, and other aspects of the internship, the student is expected to work independently on creating their description of the collection and to some extent cataloguing. All materials will be reviewed by the Curator to make sure they fit within the Museum's expectations for cataloguing.

Students will be given a $250 stipend at the end of their internship to help cover expenses relating to travel to and from the Museum.

The collection the student works with may contain graphic images relating to World War II, the Holocaust, and the liberation of concentration camps.
