Project Details
Students in LIS 438 will complete a 60-hour internship within the Archives & Special Collections Department at the J Eugene Smith Library at Eastern Connecticut State University.
The student will be trained in the operations of the department included but not limited to check in of patrons and researchers, assigning workspace to users, assisting with scanners
and printers, assisting with the shelving of items as well as assisting students enrolled in Eastern courses with primary source documentation/research. Requirements
Student needs to be prompt to work and always communicate any changes in schedule.
Student needs to work within the hours of the area --Monday through Friday between 9 AM and 4 PM.
Student must be able to lift at least 50-pound boxes.
Student must be able to maneuver up and down a ladder/stairs.
