Project Details
The USS Constitution Museum recently acquired the papers of Commander Richard Bradford Amirault, who commanded USS Constitution from 1991 to 1995. During his tenure, Constitution was dry docked for an extensive restoration period.
Working with the Manager of Curatorial Affairs, the student will process the entire collection (currently 6.25 linear feet) and create a finding aid. The student will help make appraisal decisions under guidance of the supervisor, arrange and refolder the collection, research and describe the contents, and write a full finding aid.
The student may be invited to assist with other archival and museum-related tasks that suit their professional interests, as time allows.
