Site Description
The Howard Gotlieb Archival Research Center (HGARC) is located within Mugar Memorial Library, the main hub of the Boston University Libraries branches. HGARC is a special collections archive which specializes in the personal collections of twentieth century public figures in the fields of literature, criticism, journalism, drama, music, film, civil rights, diplomacy and national affairs. Notable collections include the papers of Martin Luther King, Jr., Elie Wiesel, Robin Williams, Geena Davis, Dan Rather, and more.
The Gotlieb Center has undertaken a number of large-scale cataloging projects using space at the Boston University Wheelock College campus in the Fenway. The Wheelock Library building at 132 Riverway is where the the current Field Experience work will take place.
