Roxbury Community College is undertaking a project to digitize collections in our College Archives. The intern working on the project will be responsible for a portion of a collection and be involved in every aspect of this project, including identifying documents to be digitized based on given criteria, scanning documents with our on-site scanners, creating metadata, and ingesting documents and metadata into our digital repository, Preservica.
To distinguish this project from the LIS 438 project, there are further requirements that will need to be completed based upon the experience and interests of the intern in question. This may be the creation of an exhibit based on one of RCC's special collections or the creation of XML-encoded finding aids.
