Site Description
The Sharon Historical Society was founded to promote the research, study, dissemination, discussion, publication and recording of the history of the Town of Sharon, Massachusetts. To do this, we create programs that engage our community in the exploration of our history, connect with communities, and organizations within our communities. foster an appreciation of the people, places, and institutions that have shaped our community. We aim to be an organization that reaches out widely in our diverse community, including long-time residents as well as newcomers, young and old, to foster an appreciation of Sharon's history. Our collections date back to the 1600s with a concentration on the 19th and 20th centuries.
