Ella Strong Denison Library

Denison Library is a non-circulating repository for Scripps College’s unique and special collections focused on the history of printing and the book; artists’ books; the study of women, gender and education; and the college’s nearly 100-year-old archives. As a library dedicated to special collections, which occupy a unique place in higher education and research, Denison Library’s mission is to engage individuals with the power of primary source materials to enrich both an undergraduate’s educational experience and the wider community of scholarship. The library’s collections are available to just not Scripps College students, faculty, staff, and alumnae but to members of the other Claremont Colleges, as well as to community and external researchers.
