OUtlET Magazine was an independent ‘zine that originated in Boston, and then very quickly chose Lowell as its home. Over 52 issues were created in a basement studio on Middle St and then distributed in Lowell and beyond between 2004 and 2007. Published bi-weekly for about 2 years, we created 52 issues using mainly collage and other physical mediums, drawing, painting etc.
The intern will work on processing this newly acquired collection which consists of proof copies and print versions of the 'zine, related ephemera, and a collection of one-act plays which were distributed with the 'zine. Create a finding aid following our institutional template, which is DACS based. Processing work will include arranging, describing, and preservation work. Select digitization of items may occur if time allows.
