Site Description
The Mashpee Wampanoag Tribal Archives are located in the Tribal administrative and governmental building headquarters. The Archives staff and collections are in an HVAC controlled space within the building. The Archives space includes a large worktable, flatbed scanner, AV digitization equipment, digital photographing workstation, microfiche reader, rolling storage shelves, flatfile storage, and vertical files.
Archival collections include Tribal records, photographs, maps, genealogical charts, newspapers and clippings, and a significant number of audio and video recordings of oral histories, events, and other productions.
The Field Experience student might process the oversize/maps materials or an audio collection.
