Project Details
This project is to process and create a finding aid for the Valley Correspondence collection, 1989-2000. Currently the collection is loosely packed within archival boxes equaling 5.30 linear feet with an accompanying folder list. The collection will need to be re-foldered, arranged (deciding whether to keep with current order, potentially original order though not clear), and a finding aid created. The student will get experience processing a collection and working with ArchivesSpace. If there is additional time, the student will have the opportunity to be trained on digitization and our two scanners as well as other small projects depending on interest.
Are you willing to complete two evaluations of your students progress through out the course of the semester?
Yes
Requirements
The student must be willing to travel to Lexington to work on site. The museum is accessible by car, bus, and bike though it would be a significant journey on public transportation if the student lives within Boston.

The work schedule is flexible as long as it falls within the museum open hours. The museum is open on Monday through Friday from 9am to 4pm.
