Organizing Quincy Homestead Archival Records

The project involves the organization of 8 bankers' boxes of unorganized records of the Dorothy Quincy Homestead, an historic site in Quincy MA. The records are in our archives at our Beacon Hill site in Boston and that is where the intern would be based. The records include history of the house and its occupants, its care and maintenance, programming and committee records. Photographs need to be separated and may be the subject of a future project. A template has been established for organizing the collection which has been used for archival records pertaining to other sites. It would be helpful to have an advanced student intern as no prior organization has been brought to these records.
