Victor L. Neumeier Photography Collection

Between 2011 and 2015, the Sudbury Historical Society received a substantial donation of photographic material from the collection of Victor L. Neumeier (1914-1997), a well-known and longtime photographer from the town. Throughout his life, Neumeier documented many annual events, important buildings, and notable people from Sudbury. This largely unprocessed collection will require creating a simple finding aid and devising a plan to properly store and preserve the variety of media: print photographs, film rolls, negative strips, and related material. Then, the objects can be safely rehoused. The student will also gain access to our collections management system, where they will be able to update related records and improve metadata to make the material more accessible overall.
