Site Description
Situated in Boston's Back Bay, the Handel and Haydn Society is a classical-music performing arts group that uses the techniques of historically informed performance to bring the music of the Baroque and Classical eras to life for audiences in Boston and New England. H+H was founded in 1815 as a choral society for passionate amateurs and proudly maintains its long history of musical excellence. The H+H Archives stewards the material history of past performances and operations, including concert programs, audiovisual materials, administrative records, scrapbooks and ephemera, and old scores and sheet music.
