By car - from outside Boston take I-95 to Exit 29A, Route 2 East. Proceed on Route 2 to exit 59A, Pleasant Street. (Do not take the first Pleasant street exit, which is in Lexington.) Turn left onto Pleasant Street. At Massachusetts Ave, turn left heading west toward Lexington. Turn left at Jason Street. Parking is located on a side street called Jason Terrace. Our parking lot is located behind the Museum.

Public Transit
Stop at Arlington Center. Many of these busses can be caught at the Red line station at Harvard or Alewife Public transit offers several choices to bring you to our door. The MBTA’s bus routes 67, 77, 79, 80, 87, and 350 all stop close to our location. Get off the bus in Arlington Center opposite the Town Hall and walk one block west on Massachusetts Avenue to Jason Street.

Site Description
The Arlington Historical Society is comprised of our grounds, the historic Jason Russell House (operated seasonally as a historic house museum), and the Smith Building with a modern gallery for exhibition, office, kitchen, bathrooms, and collection storage.

Collections are housed in the basement of the Smith Building and the shared office space is on a mezzanine above the gallery. There are 5 shared workstations, four upstairs and one downstairs.
