Processing Cultural Heritage Artifacts

The processing of cultural heritage artifacts includes two collections: Chinese pottery and African objects. The student will describe artifacts, create a finding aid, complete minor preservation research and research provenance of items. The Chinese collection will need to be repacked, evaluated, cleaned and placed in the archives from its current location in the reading room. Items will be photographed and uploaded to Google Drive along with a spreadsheet. The same will be completed for the African artifacts, but it is understood that the student may not complete that task this term as there are many items.
