Arrangement and Description of Campus Architectural Plans

This internship will focus on a collection of architectural plans of the Champlain College campus being transferred to the Champlain College Archives from the Physical Plant department. They document many of the College's 40+ structures, including more than 25 historic buildings. Most of the plans date from c. 1965 to 2010. The intern will work with the Special Collections Director to appraise the material and will then arrange and describe the plans to the folder level. If time allows, the intern will also undertake some rehousing and in-house preservation tasks, which may include flattening rolled plans for storage in flat files and/or creating conservation-quality roll housing for oversized plans.
