Green Mountain Transit's City Loop (#8) has a stop at Maple and South Willard Street that is a block away from the Champlain College Library, and connections to other bus routes in the region can be made from the downtown Burlington bus station. Currently this service is free. See https://ridegmt.com/8-city-loop-2/. Free street parking is available near the Champlain College Library; however, demand is high. Arrangements can be made to obtain a pass to park at Champlain College's Lakeside Campus, a 10 minute shuttle ride away from main campus.
Site Description
Champlain College's Special Collections illuminate the history of the College and its environs, including the City of Burlington, Vermont, and the Lake Champlain Valley region. Special Collections currently comprises 720 linear feet of analog materials and 1.4 terabytes of born-digital and digitized content. The special collections are managed by a full-time Special Collections Director, assisted by two part-time student employees. Special Collections consists of two major components: the Champlain College Archives and the Local History Collection. The Archives documents the history and activities of Champlain from its founding in 1878 to the present and contains administrative and faculty papers, College publications, student papers and publications, press clippings, marketing and admissions materials, architectural plans, oral histories, archived web content, and ephemera. The Local History Collection contains print publications, maps, business advertising materials, artifacts, and ephemera dating from the 1790s to the present.
