Project Details
There are three groups of records that need some attention, giving the student experience from a basic processing level to a more comprehensive and complete processing of records. There are three groups of records, moving from basic to complex: 1) The first group of records needs just a quick and basic processing. The records are from the Public Information and Community Outreach (PICO) office of MUSC and amount to approximately 10 cubic feet. They need to be placed in archival folders and boxes, labeled, and an inventory completed in anticipation of digitizing the records. No other processing is necessary for this beginning project; 2) Create a finding aid and inventory for the University Archives oral histories; 3) Provide a comprehensive processing of the papers of Dr. Gayenell Magwood, including transferring records to archival folders and boxes removing material that might damage the long-term preservation of the records, create and inventory, and provide a detailed finding aid including records history and description.
