Project Details
Until recently, the Massachusetts College of Art and Design Archive has not had a professional archivist and the collections are largely unprocessed. The college's 150th anniversary is this year and it is more important than ever to make records more findable for research.
Types of records include but are not limited to: departmental records, architectural drawings and campus publications.
The intern will work closely with the archivist to add to the current inventory and make changes to the existing inventory as necessary. The intern will flag interesting materials that could be useful for Throwback Thursdays or exhibits for the 150th anniversary. The intern may also work with the Archivist to obtain materials from other departments across the campus and add the new collections to the inventory. The intern may assist with a records survey to find records of lasting value to the college.
