Project Details
The focus of the internship will be on archival description work - the intern will complete description at many hierarchical levels for a variety of collection materials including images, published and manuscript papers, and born-digital materials. The student will be expected to:
-Create a DACS compliant finding aid in ArchivesSpace for the JoAnne Yates papers. This is an eight box collection containing correspondence, published and unpublished materials, and administrative records. The intern will complete collection, series, and file level description based on in person processing.
-Work with the Digital Archivist to accession born-digital materials in the collection
-Create one Instagram post for the MIT Libraries social media team
-Present to Libraries staff about the internship project
