Project Details
Applying archival theories of arrangement and description as well as preservation best practices, the project entails fully processing the papers of Robert Cherny, Professor emeritus of History at San Francisco State University. Tasks will include creation and execution of a processing plan, full physical arrangement, basic preservation and rehousing, the creation of a DACS-compliant EAD finding aid in ArchivesSpace, contributing posts to LARC's social media accounts, and assisting with the planning of related outreach events. If time allows, the project may also include the creation of item-level metadata for audio recordings within the collection for digitization.

Requirements
Ability to work independently and in consultation with other staff; strong oral and written communication skills; research skills; coursework in archival administration, cataloging, history, or information science. Experience in archival work preferred but not required.
