The student will initially be processing additions to the New York Methodist Hospital Collection, specifically photographs. Given the number of boxes in the addition, we do not expect the student to complete the work during the internship. The student will assign the new photos to existing sub-series, create new sub-series as needed, and consult with the conservator on any preservation issues.
We are expecting a donation of another collection. If it arrives in time we would switch the student to working on this collection in order to give them some experience in determining series and other aspects of processing a collection from scratch.
