Site Description
Howard Gotlieb Archival Research Center is a contemporary archive specializing in 20th century collections across a variety of disciplines. We hold over 2,000 collections, some of which include Martin Luther King, Jr., Howard and Sue Bailey Thurman, Elie Wiesel, Julius and Ethel Rosenberg, Maya Deren, Barbara Deming, and many others.
HGARC's auxiliary location at 132 Riverway is in the heart of the Fenway area of Boston. Formerly the Wheelock Library, it has been recently gutted and has been used for the past two years as a space for large reappraisal and processing projects done by the Center. It is a 9-floor building with an elevator that accesses all floors. Interns will have a processing space in which to work, as well as an office. We ask that interns bring a laptop, as we do not have any computers at our 132 Riverway location.
