Project Details
This project will have two sub projects for the student to focus on.
The first being a study on scholarly communication, open access, and a libraries role. I am hoping for a student to help document what peer institutions are doing surrounding open access, scholarly communication, repositories and other related things. We are also in the works of developing a data repository through Harvard Dataverse. Documentation on how our patrons can use Dataverse needs to be developed, which can be in the form of a libguide, video or other.
The second project will center around a collaboration between the science library and the archive and special collections. The archive houses a lot of science material from geological records, vintage instrumentation, to many other things. I have been hoping to create an exhibit (in person or online) to gain awareness of the collections available. Additionally, there is a potential to do some collecting for the archive around Native practices and science for The Native Literature Collections.
