Youth Services-Teen Area Intern

The Teen Area Intern will work directly with me to conduct outreach to local area agencies, the School District and other community partners. This may include offering library services at community events, library hours at the middle schools and joint programming with area agencies such as the YMCA, THe Boys and Girls Club, Girls Inc., etc. We will also be conducting an in-house marketing study to find out which are the best social media platforms to reach the widest audience of Teens. Another component of this is to conduct a Teen survey to find out what services and or programs Teen would like to see happen in the Library. One of the most immediate goals as school starts for the new year will be starting a Teen Advisory Board. This will require a lot of out reach and marketing to get the word out about all the opportunities the Holyoke Public Library has to offer. In addition to this we will be conducting programming. The intern will be conducting 3-4 Teen Programs from conception to realization during this semester.
