USS Constitution Historical Crew Database Intern

The USS Constitution Museum seeks a detail-oriented archives intern for a metadata project involving the curatorial department's database of crew members who served on USS Constitution. The historical crew database, which is maintained in FileMaker Pro 14, currently includes 15,245 crew members who served on USS Constitution during the ship's active sailing career from 1797 to 1881. The database structure is robustly designed and tracks a wide range of data points, including biographical information, service history, pensions, disciplinary actions, illnesses, associated museum artifacts and digital assets, and records of descendants. The intern will be tasked with identifying and resolving duplicate records and data integrity issues, as well as establishing authority tables and formatting standards.
