Canal Society of New York State Collections Inventory

The Erie Canal Museum is in the process of completing an item level inventory of the Canal Society of New York State Collection. The student will contribute to this project by inventorying and possibly rehousing 2-5 cubic feet of a discrete, unprocessed collection within the much larger Canal Society Collection. Work will entail recording item level metadata in our inventory spreadsheet using Google Sheets. If desired by the instructor, the student may complete a finding aid for the collection using our account with Empire Archival Discovery Cooperative (empireadc.org), or else some other suitable project output can be arranged.
