Project Details
Rehouse, arrange, and describe approximately 3 cubic feet of records from the Berklee College of Music Brass department, circa 1970s-2000. As part of processing activities, intern will screen the collection for restricted material, conduct research on department history and personnel using Berklee Archives collections, establish an arrangement scheme for the collection, create a box/folder inventory, draft descriptive notes and authority records, produce an online-accessible finding aid using ArchiveSpace, and draft a social media announcement for the collection. Intern will be provided primer materials on Berklee history and basic training in local processing procedures and ArchivesSpace. If time allows, intern may assist with other projects.

Intern will need to complete an ID request form to receive a key card for building access; a state/government ID is require for verification.
A music background is preferred but not required.
Hours for this position must be scheduled between 10am-4pm Monday through Thursday (no Friday hours). While occasional remote shifts may be possible, the majority of this internship must be conducted on campus.
